With only a few exceptions, most Topcon electronic instruments, from the earliest Guppies until about 2007, have contained a six pin Hirose connector for data, and a 5.5mm power connector.
Power requirements changed between 7.2 volts and 8.4 volts over the pre-900 years and they continued to work well fed 9 volts, historically with our T-33 regulated cable.
However the servo driven 800, 7000 and 8000 series Topcons consume much more power which required a re-design, resulting in our T-32 cable. Both of these cables still remain the lifeblood of our Topcon power cables and will work flawlessly with your pre-800 Topcons.
Release of the 900 and 9000 series Topcons saw a change in the external power port to a new style three pin Hirose connector. Our TO-72 cable will connect your 900/9000 Topcons as well as your GLS scanners to the DaySaver pack. However these instruments draw much more power, so we recommend our PS-91 battery pack.
A couple exceptions: 1) the APL-1, consumes 12 volts through a unique 2 pin connector. Our TO-35 cable allows direct connection between our PS-90 and your APL-1 for a couple thousand, auto tracked shots.
2) some 200 series Topcons have no provisions for external power, only the six pin data connector, so DaySaver products cannot be connected (sorry).
