The Daysaver concept is based primarily on our PS-90 Dry Cell battery pack. Many surveyors haven’t used an on-board battery for years as they've come to rely on this system. The rationale is the PS-90’s appetite for abuse.
As some instruments are quite thirsty, we've devoloped our PS-91 battery pack. This 10.5 amp hour battery pack will supply enough power for those power users just as our PS-90 did for years.
Although treating it with respect will ensure a longer life, we’ve seen surveyors treat DaySaver battery packs worse than they treat that loud mouth salesman down the street, and it keeps on working, day after day. Expect your PS-90 or PS-91 to be your faithful power supply for several years before seeing any loss of durability. Both the PS-90 and PS-91 come in a tough leather case complete with intelligent one amp-hour charger and padded shoulder strap.
Industrial surveyors rely on the AC power source when doing long run monitoring jobs or working back to back shifts where the on-board battery may miss it’s opportunity for charging.
