Nikon has continued to upgrade the data/power connectors on all their electronic instruments. Although staying with a 10 volt requirement for many years, Nikon used both a five pin Tagimi connector and a six pin Hirose connector. Our testing reveals the internal voltage regulation in these instruments helps them work safety with our 12 volt PS-90 with no ill effects.
Beginning in 2001, many Nikon instruments came equipped with 7.2 or 8.4 battery requirements. Our Daysaver 9 volt regulated cables allows these new Nikons to continue working flawlessly.
Many Nikons have factory wired data ports to communicate with Sokkia data collectors. This wiring is different from a "standard" Nikon, hence will not function properly with external power sources. Please indicate in the "comments" section of the order if you feel your instrument has been configured as such.
